white painted with red base and top cast
iron circular lighthouse with a
traditional light currently operated by
the local Port Authority and situated at
the end of the south harbour wall.
Built
in 1885 the tower is 34 feet high and the
light is visible for 9 miles. There is a
red painted cast iron column lamp with a
replacement light on the old quay.
