A white painted with black base cast iron circular tower lighthouse with a traditional light currently operated by the local Port Authority and situated at the end of the south pier in the harbour. 

Built in 1853 at the Copperhouse Foundry at Hayle the tower is 31 feet high and the light is visible for 9 miles.
