A 4671

Also
known as Skinburness & Eastcote Light.
This
lighthouse
was formerly the rear light of a range.
Located
on Skinburness Road about 1 km (2/3 mi)
north of the harbor of Silloth, on the
south side of Moray Firth.
Established
1841, this 39
ft, square pyramidal corrugated iron
skeletal tower with octagonal lantern and
gallery is still active with a continuous
green light.

This
Light
tower
was "altered" in 1913, but a
1910 reference describes the tower as
being wooden rather than iron, so
presumably the tower was replaced in 1913.
