A 5455X

A
small squat white painted brick circular
tower lighthouse with a traditional light
built in the centre of the attached
circular dwellings situated on the western
edge of the River Usk.
Built in 1821 on
what was then an island the tower is 56
feet high and the light was visible for 11
miles.
It was the first light to be built
by James Walker (1781-1862).
The
light was made redundant in 1922.
It
is now a B&B.

While
chatting away on 20Mtrs, the Gentleman who
was keeping an eye on this Lighthouse
while the proprietors were away, came
across to say hello and asked if we would
like to have a look around inside ?
You
don't need to know the answer, do You ???
